Chi Mino Ozhitoowin LP is a 100% First Nation owned, for-profit organization with a strategic focus on the construction of the Waasigan Transmission Line Project.
Chi Mino Ozhitoowin, in collaboration with Valard Construction LP, is dedicated to providing opportunities for all members of First Nations communities involved in our projects. Recognizing the challenges individuals may face in accessing training and employment, our Indigenous participation team stands ready to support community members in overcoming these barriers. At Chi Mino Ozhitoowin, we prioritize the empowerment and development of local First Nations workers. We conduct thorough assessments of their skills, identify any gaps in training, and provide tailored programs to ensure readiness for project construction commencement. By offering these essential training initiatives, we aim to optimize employment prospects within the local First Nations workforce.
The Waasigan Transmission Line Project offers exciting business prospects for local communities to participate in.
Our goal is to maximize these opportunities for the 7 partnering communities and neighbouring areas. At Chi Mino Ozhitoowin, we take a holistic approach to economic development with an appreciation for respecting the local economic interests, including those of local community-owned businesses.
