To the editor:
In your Oct 29, 2010 editorial regarding possibilities for Lynn Peterson, you suggested she could pursue the Liberal nomination Ken Boschcoff presently holds.
I found it particularly offensive that you said the Liberals had “the riding taken away from them three years ago by John Rafferty.”
Is this to infer that Thunder Bay is sacred Liberal territory?
There is reason why the Liberals lost the seat. Mr Rafferty worked tirelessly to win the seat defeating Ken Boschcoff, and works just as tirelessly as our present Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP.
While Thunder Bay constituants have, for reasons unknown, almost perpetually elected the Liberals federally (and now provincially), I have found them to fall short perpetually in really repesenting our needs
