Just who are the in-camera sessions designed to protect?
As the people who pay the bills, the taxpayers of Thunder Bay are entitled to all the facts, not just those that administration wants to make public.
It was an in camera session that started this mess with Horizon Wind and personally I am not surprised, given administration’s incompetence with projects like the bus terminal and the Marina, that we have arrived at this point.
It would be much better if at least the minutes of the in camera session are posted so that the taxpayers of Thunder Bay can see what kind of mess administration and the last council, still largely intact, have gotten us into.
Much like a trip through security at the airport or being stopped at a RIDE program, if you have done nothing wrong then you should not fear the exposure of the facts. Much like the $1.5 million of my money for a bit of heavier wire and some heavier breakers at the Marina, it seems that something is being hidden and taxpayers will have to pay.
