1,000 litres of fuel stolen from MTO yard

THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help in their investigation into the theft of a large amount of fuel.

Approximately 1,000 litres of dyed diesel (also known as coloured fuel) was taken from a Ministry of Transportation pit off Kivela Road West in the Municipality of Neebing.

The incident occurred on the evening of Nov. 21, 2022.

Police said the fuel is worth about $1,700.

Anyone with information about who may have committed this theft is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Individuals may also reach out anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit information online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.

A cash reward of up to $2,000 may be available.
