11 new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district

The active case count has fallen by two.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported 11 new COVID-19 cases in its service area Tuesday, but the active case count fell by two since 13 previously-diagnosed cases were resolved.

The case count currently stands at 135.

No new hospitalizations were reported, leaving the number of patients receiving treatment for COVID-19 in hospital at three.

Ten of the new cases involve individuals living in or near Thunder Bay, while one is in a district community.

Four of the cases are the result of household contact, one is from other close contact, four are under investigation, and two have no known exposure source.
