Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre employees have come up with numerous ideas for improved patient care, and on Tuesday 26 projects received funding as part of the grant program for care advancements recommended by employees.
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation received 50 applications. Some of the ideas to be funded include benches outside of the main entrance and television sets and DVD players for the emergency waiting rooms.
The funding for the CARE Grants was increased by $10,000 to $30,000 in the second year of the initiative.
Glenn Craig, president of the Foundation, said the program will continue.
