THUNDER BAY -- City police responded to more than 128 serious incidents during the week of Oct. 12 to Oct. 19.

Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services. The more than 128 incidents recorded last week does not include quality of life, property or traffic cases.

South of the Harbour Expressway, city police responded to 53 significant incidents.

Those incidents included:

  • 12 Assaults
  • 1 Sexual assault
  • 8 Break and enters
  • 4 Robberies
  • 21 Thefts
  • 6 thefts from vehicles


Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway, officers responded to nearly 74 significant cases.

The breakdown of reported crimes include:

  • 14 Assaults
  • 15 Break and enters
  • 1 Robbery
  • 32 Thefts
  • 5 Thefts from a vehicle
  • 4 Thefts of a vehicle
