Alcohol a factor in Highway 599 weekend crash: OPP

PICKLE LAKE, Ont. -- Officials with the OPP say alcohol was a factor in a collision that occurred on Highway 599 over the weekend. A vehicle lost control, sending the four occupants to hospital.

PICKLE LAKE, Ont. -- Officials with the OPP say alcohol was a factor in a collision that occurred on Highway 599 over the weekend.

A vehicle lost control, sending the four occupants to hospital. The female driver and a male passenger were treated for minor injuries.

However another passenger remains in hospital in Sioux Lookout with serious injuries, and a third had to be airlifted to Thunder Bay with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 22-year old woman from the Mishkeegogamang First Nation has been charged with three counts of impaired operation causing bodily harm.
