THUNDER BAY – A section of Algoma Street North will remain closed through Thursday, two days longer than expected, the city has announced.
The North Side street is expected to remain fully closed between St. George Avenue and Dawson Street until the end of Thursday.
The city began work to repair a storm sewer in the area last Monday, Dec. 4, then fully closed the road last Thursday after discovering additional work requiring heavier equipment.
The city says that work is now nearing completion, after which crews will begin restoration of the area.
