THUNDER BAY — Andrea Horwath is the next party leader to announce a visit to Thunder Bay in the 2022 Ontario election campaign.
The NDP leader will arrive in the city late Thursday afternoon for a private meeting with local Indigenous leaders.
On Friday, she's scheduled to speak at other events where she's expected to discuss the impact of the opioid crisis and rising gas prices.
PC leader Doug Ford was the first leader to campaign in the city, on May 7.
It's believed that Liberal leader Steven Del Duca will be in the city on Sunday, but an official itinerary has not been released.
The election takes place on June 2.
Advance voting opens Thursday, May 19 for a period of 10 days.
