THUNDER BAY -- Northwestern Ontario entrepreneurs needing seed capital to start a business, grow, scale-up and commercialize have until April 13 to submit an application to participate in Thunder Bay Pitch 2018..
Organizers of the May 23 event say they are looking for entrepreneurs interested in pitching to potential angel investors in order to raise capital to grow their businesses "to the next level."
Northern Ontario Angels (NOA) will co-host the session with the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre.
NOA has consultants in major northern Ontario cities, and connects investment-ready businesses across the region with sources of investment and expertise.
Applications to submit a pitch are being accepted online by Northern Ontario Angels.
The Innovation Centre will provide a cash prize for a People's Choice winner at the Thunder Bay event, as selected by members of the audience.
Organizers say Thunder Bay Pitch 2018 will also be an opportunity for people already in business or interested in starting their own business to see how experienced entrepreneurs make pitches to investors.
Pre-registration is required through EventBrite.
