THUNDER BAY – A holiday classic is coming to the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium; All the Daze Productions is putting on 2 performances of “Annie Jr.”
While Annie it isn't strictly a Christmas story, it takes place exactly during the holiday season and Director Marcia Arpin says the musical captures the spirit of the season with a little something for everyone.
“Thrilled to bring back a family classic and it actually has a Christmas tone to it too,” she said. “So it's a great way not only to bring the children back to stage, but also to celebrate the holidays with a family friendly performance.”
The show, which is very similar to the classic musical, features more than 50 local actors, dancers and singers all between 7 to 18 years old including Cloe Rowe who plays the titular Annie.
"What I love so much, is that it's a really cool experience because you get to hang out with the older cast and the younger cast,” she said. “And it's really cool to see how they work differently.”
There are two chances to catch the musical at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium this year with showings both Saturday night and Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Jordan Humeniuk, who plays Ms. Hannigan encourages residents to get out and see for themselves what the local theatre community is capable of.
"This one's kind of special because it's the youngest cast that we've ever had,” she said. “And so, it's really cool to see, kind of, the younger generation get to do what I've been doing for so long
