Another pedestrian dies in a collision

An adult female pedestrian was rushed to the regional hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

THUNDER BAY — Another pedestrian has died as a result of a serious collision in the last week. 

Police responded to the scene of a collision on Sunday evening at Simpson and Leith streets around 8 p.m. 

An adult female pedestrian was rushed to the regional hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. 

The Thunder Bay Police Service's Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Units are involved in the ongoing investigation. 

This is the second fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle in the past week. 

Police were called to a different hit-and-run incident last Thursday and quickly arrested a suspect. A 25-year-old man's life was claimed during this incident.
