Provincial police have released the identity of a man killed in a Thursday morning highway crash.
Members of the Ignace detachment of the OPP say Danny Henderson, 57, of Atikokan, was killed after a two vehicle crash just after 7 a.m. CTS on Highway 17. The crash took place 40 kilometres west of Ignace.
Investigators say both vehicles involved in the crash were passenger vehicles. a van heading westbound with a single occupant collided with a pickup truck heading eastbound with two occupants.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were transported to a hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP re-opened the highway shortly after 3:30 p.m.
