THUNDER BAY — Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting incident this summer.

No injuries were reported, but multiple bullet holes were evident at a home in the 400 block of Wiley Street following an incident on the morning of July 28.

Police have charged Kyle Ramlakhan, 21, with attempted murder using a restricted firearm, various firearms-related offences, failure to comply with a release order, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

He was apprehended Tuesday afternoon on Academy Drive after a brief foot pursuit.

Members of the TBPS break, enter and robbery unit had spotted him while they were conducting a separate investigation.

The emergency task unit assisted in his aprehension.

Police say Ramlakhan was found in possession of a loaded firearm, suspected cocaine, and cash.

He appeared in court Wednesday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
