BayFest headliners include Lou Gramm, Big Wreck and Loverboy

Music festival replaces Country on the Bay and will take place July 18-20 at Fort William Historical Park.

THUNDER BAY – Local music festival fans can haul out their patio lanterns, pile them into their bright white sports cars and channel their inner jukebox heroes – Bayfest is headed to Thunder Bay next summer.

Loverboy, Big Wreck, Chilliwack, Harlequin, 54-40, Kim Mitchell, Lou Gramm, the former lead singer of Foreigner, the Headpins and Streetheart, plus a yet-to-be announced Saturday headliner, are on the bill for the city’s newest music festival.

The three-day event is scheduled for July 18 to 20 at Fort William Historical Park and takes the place of Country on the Bay, which ran its three-year course, offering up Blake Shelton in the headliner role earlier this summer.

Organizers last month said it was time to move on from the country genre, promising a different festival in 2025.

Tickets are $199 plus fees and taxes for general admission. Kids 10 and under are free.

Day passes are $149 plus fees, with a limit of 1,000 day passes per day.

VIP passes are $299 for three days, with a price increase to $349 on April 1, and include access to a VIP bar with a direct view of the state, limited VIP parking spots and a dedicated VIP smoking pit.

Prices will increase on April 1.

Tickets go on sale on Dec. 6. Visit www.bayfesttbay.ca for more information.
