THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay's newest Beer Store will be opening its doors next week.
The outlet on Fort William Road will be the city's first self-serve Beer Store.
Construction is now complete, and the doors are expected to open on the morning of Monday, March 20.
Over the past four or five years, The Beer Store has been opening self-serve stores like this one all across Ontario.
The agency is spending $100-million between 2015 and 2018 on the changes, with more space being dedicated to small brewers.
The goal is for the stores to look different with a refreshed interior decor and employees talking more with customers about the differences in each beer, and the brands that are available.
Meanwhile, one of the existing Beer Stores will be closing its doors. The location on May Street will be shut down this Sunday, one day before the new store opens.
It's expected that most of the staff there will be moving to the new location.
