LONDON, Ont. – Win all four quarters and basketball becomes an easy sport. It’s certainly looking that way for the Lakehead Thunderwolves men’s basketball team these days.

LONDON, Ont. – Win all four quarters and basketball becomes an easy sport.

It’s certainly looking that way for the Lakehead Thunderwolves men’s basketball team these days.

The T-Wolves topped the century mark for the second time this season, but the magic number on Saturday night was six – as in a 6-0 start in the OUA Central.

Nathan Bilamu continued to shine, scoring 27 points to lead all scorers, the Thunderwolves topping the host Western Mustangs 104-89.

Lakehead led by three after one, increased their lead to five at the half, then outscored the Mustangs by 10 over the final two quarters to pull out a sixth straight win to open the 2024-25 campaign.

Adrian Nowak came off the bench to score 19 for LU, while Marcus Alonso chipped in 16 points.

Milan John had 26 for Western and Zagar Matteo added 22.

Lakehead hosts Guelph next Saturday night at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse.
