THUNDER BAY — One of the biggest stars in the business will headline next year’s Country on the Bay Festival.
Blake Shelton, with five No. 1 albums and 28 No. 1 songs on the U.S. country charts to his credit, will top a lineup that also includes Dallas Smith, High Valley, Mackenzie Porter, Josh Ross, Tyler Joe Miller and The Washboard Union.
Smith, who has the most No. 1 hits of any Canadian male artist on the Billboard’s Canada country chart, and the first Canadian country artist with four consecutive singles from the same album, is also the lead singer of the hard-rock band, Default, best known for No. 1 hits Wasting my Time and Deny.
Another Canadian act, High Valley, enjoyed plenty of Canadian chart success between 2010 and 2015, leading to them signed to Atlantic Records in Nashville. Three of their songs, I Be U Be, Grew Up On That and River’s Still Running topped the Canada Country chart.
The event, in its third year, is scheduled for July 19 to July 21, 2024 at Fort William Historical Park.
The general ticket sale will begin on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.
Weekend passes are $259, plus fees. VIP passes are $359, which includes access to a VIP bar with a direct view of the stage and exclusive VIP vendors.
There will be no single-day passes sold for the 2024 event.
Tickets will be available at www.countryonthebay.ca or by phone at 1-800-361-7300.
