KENORA, ON — Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the discovery of a body inside the remains of a cottage destroyed by fire on Monday, Feb. 18.
Police say the body of a male was located in a structure on Kendal Inlet Road on Lake of the Woods.
They are withholding the victim's identity until family members are notified.
Firefighters from the McKenzie Clearwater fire department who responded to the alarm Monday found the cottage already engulfed in flames.
The Ontario Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
