Boil-water advisory on in Terrace Bay

An unexpected shutdown of the town’s water-treatment facility has led to a boil-water advisory being put in effect in Terrace Bay.

An unexpected shutdown of the town’s water-treatment facility has led to a boil-water advisory being put in effect in Terrace Bay.

Officials from the North Shore community made the decision on Sunday, saying it will remain in effect until further notice.

The municipality said it needs time to carry out testing of the town’s water before the all-clear can be given.

Information on the advisory is available at the municipal office by calling 825-3315 or at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit at 807-625-5900.
