Clean-up is underway at the site of the former Brodie Street Bus Terminal, following the demolition of the long-standing depot.

The building was demolished at about 8a.m. Thursday, to make way for the new provincial courthouse. The tear-down comes a week after the facility was closed for good and transit buses and riders were relocated to the new temporary south-side terminal around City Hall. Next on the chopping block is the old King's Stereo building, which is expected to be torn down on May 1.

The entire site must be cleared and turned over to the province by June 10. Construction of the new $100 million courthouse is expected to begin by the fall.
