Cambrian Players celebrating 75th season with three different shows

Local actors will perform shows in November, March, May, and June.

THUNDER BAY – Cambrian Players has released information about the shows that will be performed during its 75th season of community theatre.

According to Cambrian’s Facebook page, local actors will perform three different shows for the 2024-2025 season – in November, March, May, and June.

“From local playwright Amanda Doig, we’re honoured to bring to our stage the world premiere of the play ‘Of Marriage Minded Misses’ directed by Julie MacCoy,” the Facebook post said.

Doig’s play will be performed Nov. 20 to 24 and 27 to 30.

“Next, we step into a vintage vision of 50s living that questions the costs of nostalgia with ‘Home, I’m Darling,’ a fun, thoughtful, entertaining drama by Laura Wade, directed by Andrew Paulsen.”

“Home, I’m Darling” will be performed from March 6 to 9 and 12 to 15, 2025.

Cambrian will close the season following the adventures of two amphibious friends with the musical production "A Year With Frog and Toad" by Robert and Willie Reale, based on the book by Arnold Lobel.

Directed by Mary Davis, the musical will be performed from May 22 to 25 and May 29 to June 1, 2025.

“But that’s not everything awaiting you for our monumental season,” the post said.

“Watch our page for audition information, events, celebrations and more as we continue bringing you theatre for the love of it!”

Cambrian Players is Thunder Bay's longest running community theatre, in operation since 1949. Cambrian performances are out of a cozy theatre at 818 Spring St.
