Canada Post issues red alert for Thunder Bay

It says delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.
Canada Post

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay residents should not expect to receive mail on Thursday.

The Canada Post issued a red alert for delivery service in the city due to the area’s recent snowstorm.

This alert means the mail service will suspend its delivery and mail carriers will be recalled or not be sent out.

However, Canada Post stated delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.

“The safety of our employees is our number one priority,” said the mail service.

Residents can find more information on service alerts on Canada Post’s delivery service alerts webpage and its social media accounts.
