THUNDER BAY — Mail delivery has returned to normal in Thunder Bay, according to Canada Post.
The Crown corporation confirmed Wednesday that it lifted its “red alert,” and delivery employee recall that it issued due to the winter storm that hit the Lakehead throughout the day Tuesday.
“Normal operations (have) resumed,” according to the update from Canada Post.
Red alerts are only lifted when conditions improve to the point that it’s safe for mail carriers to be working, Canada Post said.
The organization said that it encourages people to clear snow and ice from walkways, stairs, and driveways, when service resumes.
