THUNDER BAY — Mail delivery is being put on hold as snow falls in the city.
Canada Post issued a red alert for the Thunder Bay region on Thursday due to the weather, suspending delivery for the day.
The red service alert, which was announced early in the afternoon, involves recalling agents and not sending them out.
Canada Post said delivery would resume once conditions improve.
Environment Canada had issued a weather advisory statement for the city, forecasting up to 15 centimetres of snow. Several outlying areas are under a snowfall warning, with places to the south of the city expected to receive up to 40 centimetres.
