THUNDER BAY -- Red River Road was blocked near Regent Street after a car struck and knocked over a lamp post Monday evening.
A female driver, treated for minor injuries on scene, was subsequently arrested by police and charged with impaired driving.
City officials were also on scene to deal with live electrical wires that were blocking a sidewalk.
The busy street has since reopened to traffic.
