THUNDER BAY — A novice driver was in lots of trouble after a collision over the weekend.
On Jan. 5, police responded to a collision on 106th St, near Mission Marsh Conservation area just before 2 a.m.
The young driver was found to be impaired during the incident and is facing several charges including dangerous operation, misuse of license plates and several novice driver offences.
This sadly coincides with an increase in young and novice drivers engaging in dangerous behaviours on the road, according to the Thunder Bay Police Service.
The young driver had his licence suspended and his vehicle impounded.
He was released on a promise to appear for a future court date.
