THUNDER BAY — Multiple vehicles had their windows smashed in a hotel parking lot on the south side of the city.

Police got a call about a disturbance along Arthur Street West Thursday night just before 11 p.m. Thursday, indicating a male suspect was smashing car windows.

Officers learned the suspect wore safety goggles and gloves and used a crowbar on vehicles parked at the Hampton Inn parking lot. Police believe the owners of the damaged cars are unknown to the suspect.

The suspect was located by investigators in the area of Donald and James Streets and was arrested without incident.

The 24-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing eight charges of mischief related to damaging property and defying a probation order.

He's been remanded into custody and has a future court appearance scheduled.
