Forensic testing is still pending, but investigators with the Fire Marshall's office now believe that careless smoking caused a fatal weekend fire.
The fire took place in a building unit on Hodder Avenue Saturday evening.
The victim, whose identity has still not been released, is said to be a man in his 40s or 50s.
Officials say he died of smoke inhalation.
