Careless smoking likely cause of fatal fire: Fire Marshal’s Office

Forensic testing is still pending, but investigators with the Fire Marshall's office now believe that careless smoking caused a fatal weekend fire. The fire took place in a building unit on Hodder Avenue Saturday evening.

Forensic testing is still pending, but investigators with the Fire Marshall's office now believe that careless smoking caused a fatal weekend fire. 

The fire took place in a building unit on Hodder Avenue Saturday evening. 

The victim, whose identity has still not been released, is said to be a man in his 40s or 50s.

Officials say he died of smoke inhalation. 

An investigation is still ongoing.
