THUNDER BAY – It’s only the midway point of the season, but it already feels like must-win time for the Thunder Bay Chill.
They got the job done on Saturday night.
Tyler Attardo, in the 23rd minute, and Diego Reveco, in the 32nd, scored first-half goals for the Chill, who hung on to edge visiting RKC Third Coast 2-1 on Saturday night at Chapples Field.
The Chill hit the six-game mark at 3-2-1, good for third place in the USL2’s Deep North Division, with 1.67 points per game.
With 10 points, the Chill trail St. Croix, who are averaging 2.13 points per game, and Bavarian United, who are at an even two points a night.
The Chill have two games in hand on both teams.
In terms of total points, St. Croix leads the way with 17, while Bavarian United has 16 and RKC Third Coast has 12.
Thunder Bay hits the road for a rematch against RKC Third Coast on Thursday.
Their next home games is on July 5 against Minneapolis City SC.
