THUNDER BAY – The Friends of Chippewa are expanding the lineup for this Sunday’s free outdoor concert being held on the lakeside of the Chippewa Park Pavilion as a way to compensate for the cancellation of Family Fest 101.

The Sunday concerts normally feature one entertainer, but the Friends have expanded the day to present three separate acts who were all scheduled to perform as part of the festival.

Due to the expanded lineup, the concert will start one hour earlier at 1 p.m. on July 31.

The first additional entertainer being brought to the stage at 1:15 p.m. is Robin Ranger, a jazz composer, singer, songwriter, guitarist and bassist, who has been an active and touring musician for more than 10 years.

Starting at 2:15 p.m. Ranger will be followed by Southern Comfort which consists of Dave Jonasson on guitar and vocals and Glen Jennings on piano. Pop, folk, country, blues, jazz, reggae and more will be featured during their set.

The final set will feature Daylin James, the Comeback King, with his Elvis Gone Country show. Join this very popular entertainer at 3:15 p.m.

The Friends of Chippewa Park also announced that there will be several food and merchandise vendors on hand during the concert.
