THUNDER BAY — The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging residents to use alternate payment or delivery methods during the ongoing postal strike.
Canada Post operations are on hold after the Canadian Union of Postal Workers went on strike Friday morning.
"For those who usually mail payments, applications, registrations or other documents to the city, a mail service disruption could delay their arrival and lead to late fees or longer processing times," the city said in a news release.
To avoid late fees or delays, residents can use online billing. Other online payment options are available for some services including paying for parking tickets and applying for a building permit.
