THUNDER BAY — Marina Park will have a flurry of activities for the upcoming long weekend.
The city has extended its Snow Day programming to include Sunday, Feb. 18 and Monday, Feb. 19.
A temporary art installation will be available for public viewing called Exposure. The interactive display will allow visitors to use light sources, like cellphone cameras or glow sticks, to participate in the installation.
This temporary installation will be available for public viewing on both Sunday and Monday from 4 to 10 p.m.
Other events at Marina Park will be hosted by the city between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both days.
Visitors can enjoy a pixel light wall, a candlelit snowshoe trail and warming fires around the area.
Both the Baggage Arts Building and the Prince Arthur’s Landing skating rink will keep the lights on until 10 p.m. - with various activities available on both evenings.
Because of the mild temperatures, the snow sculpture competition has been cancelled for this year. However, the city notes if the weather changes programming updates will occur as required.
More details about Snow Day can be found on the city's website.
