City of Thunder Bay burning permits will be suspended until further notice starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue say local conditions are unusually dry, and that the weather forecast is not promising for adequate precipitation or favourable wind conditions.
The suspension will be in effect until conditions improve.
