City man charged after fleeing police

A Thunder Bay man is facing several charges after attempting to flee from police.

THUNDER BAY — A man was arrested after attempting to flee from police. 

Thunder Bay Police said officers were attempting an arrest on Aug. 8 near Red River Road and Junot Avenue when the suspect resisted arrest and fled police on foot. 

A short time later, the 30-year-old man from Thunder Bay was apprehended by officers and was charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused appeared in court on Aug. 9 and was remanded into custody.
