City opens applications for next year's event series

These community events will run from May to October of 2025.

The Kite Festival is one of several events open for applications for vendors, musicians, artists and community groups.

Thunder Bay -- The City of Thunder Bay is again opening calls for participation in its 2025 community event series.

It invites food vendors, event vendors, musicians, artists/artisans and community groups to participate and help showcase another year’s worth of local services and talents. 

The 2025 community event series will feature 14 event dates:

  • Quest: Tech and Gaming on May 9 and 10
  • Kite Festival on June 8
  • Canada Day on July 1
  • Teddy Bears Picnic on July 8
  • Live on the Waterfront on Wednesday evenings from July 16 to Aug. 20
  • Live on the Waterfront’s Summer Send-off on Aug. 27 and 28
  • Arts & Culture Under the Lights on Sept. 19
  • Culture Days on Sept. 19 through Oct. 12

For these planned events, the city is looking for family-friendly services and activities that can include face painting, balloon artistry and temporary tattoos, as well as other offerings that can contribute to the festivities.

Vendors offering interactive, culturally diverse, engaging activities and opportunities are especially encouraged to apply.

These applications will run from Dec. 2 to Feb. 28, 2025.
