THUNDER BAY — The city wants to hear what residents think about the future of Pool 6.

An update to the Waterfront Master Plan, which hasn't been revamped since 2015, is in the works.

In a city release about the site, landscape architect Guy Walter said: "With the development we’ve seen in the area in recent years combined with increasing interest from external developers and a growing Great Lakes cruising industry, the time was right to update the master plan for the Pool 6 lands."

The 2015 plan originally recommended a mountain bike area, a multi-use field, and even a Nordic spa.

The city has launched a survey for residents to provide feedback and ideas.

The survey will be available online through the city's Get Involved website until March 24, with results being posted in April.
