UPDATE: Highway 17 opened to one lane following collision

The Ontario Provincial Police have reopened one lane on Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace following a serious motor vehicle collision.

DRYDEN, Ont. - Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace has been opened to one lane following a serious motor vehicle collision.

According to a media release issued by the Ontario Provincial Police Saturday evening, Highway 17 was first closed to one lane near Melgund Road due to a traffic collision.

The highway was closed for several hours to all traffic following OPP investigation into a collision between a tractor trailer and a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the Dryden hospital. 

Drivers can expect delays as the highway remains open to one lane.
