THUNDER BAY – A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in unknown condition after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 11/17 at Red River Road on Tuesday.
The collision was reported by Ontario 511 just before 7:45 p.m., and closed the eastbound lanes of the highway between Red River Road and Balsam Street for several hours.
The highway reopened early Wednesday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police continued to process a scene at the northeast corner of the intersection late Tuesday night.
