THUNDER BAY — A city resident has been charged with impaired driving following a collision on Sunday on Highway 61.

Thunder Bay OPP said the incident occurred just before 2 p.m. in the Municipality of Neebing.

Responding officers determined that the driver of a vehicle involved in a single vehicle collision was impaired by alcohol.

The 33-year-old was arrested, then transported to hospital by Superior North EMS paramedics.

The accused will appear in court in February on charges of operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, and operating a vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
