Community barbecue supports Our Kids Count

A community barbecue was held to support Our Kids Count.

THUNDER BAY – A recent community barbecue brought young and old together.

Our Kids Count staff and volunteers held a Community Barbecue at Minnesota Park on Pacific Avenue on Aug. 13.

Many children played the various lawn games that were set up on site and enjoyed a close up view of several race cars displayed at the park by the CRT Racing team.

Epic Cones provided free ice cream treats with the food supplied by Half-Way Motors Group.

Daniel Trevisanutto, a member of the board at Our Kids Count and a helper at the barbecue, was pleased with the response.

"Many attendees told us they were thankful that we came out. It was a beautiful day and a good chance to better know the community," Trevisanutto said.
