THUNDER BAY — Passengers on board an Air Canada Jazz flight potentially were exposed to the COVID-19 virus on a flight in mid-June.

According to the federal government website where COVID-19 cases involving flights are reported, a confirmed case was reported on June 17 on a flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay.

It was on Air Canada Jazz flight 7935.

The website lists the affected rows as “unknown,” which indicates either that the infected passenger’s seat couldn’t be verified, or the infected individual was a member of the flight crew.

In these kinds of cases, the government advises passengers to contact their local health unit, self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days after potential exposure, and immediately self-isolate if they develop any symptoms.
