THUNDER BAY – Recently released results of a local radon study has led to a misunderstanding about the availability of the testing kits.
On Wednesday the Thunder Bay and District Health unit released the results of its study, highlighting the levels of the cancer-causing gas found in some Thunder Bay homes.
Many residents have reached out to the health unit with a misunderstanding that they could receive free testing kits.
The kits, however, are not available at the local health unit nor are they available for free.
The kits are available for purchase at EcoSuperior for $35.
