COUCHICHING FIRST NATION, Ont. — Derek Turcotte was still in shock when he arrived at the OLG prize centre to pick up his winnings.

The resident of Couchiching First Nation, adjacent to Fort Frances, had won the big prize in OLG's Instant Jackpot game.

"The store manager recommended the $100,000 Jackpot ticket because it was a new game. I was scratching the ticket at home when I saw a number "7" and it matched the $100,000 prize," Turcotte recalled.

But he said he had to have other people including his wife and a neighbour look at the ticket before he believed he had actually won.

The 38-year-old home chef might already have a plan for what to do with the money.

"I an considering investing in a food truck, but I will take my time to think about exactly what to do," Turcotte said.
