THUNDER BAY - A Toronto-area man charged with the 2017 murder of Edmond Clovis is still awaiting details of the allegations from crown counsel in order for his matters to move through the courts.
Michael Cleghorn, 32, appeared in Thunder Bay court on Thursday, May 12, from the Toronto East Detention Centre and appeared before a Justice of the Peace.
Cleghorn was arrested in 2019 in southern Ontario in connection to the death of 21-year-old Edmond Clovis.
Clovis died in hospital nearly three years ago on Victoria Day after he was found at a Marks Street address severely injured.
Cleghorn was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder in connection to Clovis’s death in November 2019 in Mississauga.
Court heard on Thursday disclosure for Cleghorn’s murder charge has yet to be made available.
Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon remanded Cleghorn until May 21 to allow duty counsel enough time to speak with lawyers and determine where the disclosure is in the process.
