THUNDER BAY -- A cohort at St. Bernard Elementary School has been sent home after two individuals at the school tested positive for COVID-19.

The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, in a release issued on Thursday night, said the cohort was sent home earlier in the day and should expect to be contacted by a public health nurse. The River Street school is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

The identity of those who test positive is not being released, the board citing privacy concerns.
