COVID-19 exposure on Air Canada flight

THUNDER BAY – Passengers on a recent Air Canada flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay may have been exposed to COVID-19, public health authorities warn.

Those sitting in rows 11 to 17 on flight AC7932 on Jan. 25 could have been exposed, said the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

The health unit listed the exposure risk from the incident as low. However, it encouraged those affected to monitor carefully for symptoms, and immediately self-isolate if even one COVID-19 symptom develops, and to call the health unit at (807) 625-5900 to arrange for testing.

The health unit has issued numerous advisories regarding COVID-19 exposure on flights into Thunder Bay, including for at least seven flights over the holiday period.
