THUNDER BAY — A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at another Thunder Bay school.
The district health unit and Lakehead Public Schools confirmed an outbreak Tuesday at Ecole Elsie MacGill Public School on Churchill Drive.
They said two individuals associated with the school have tested positive for the virus.
The public health investigation has found that at least one of these people likely acquired the virus in the school setting.
Other individuals who may have been exposed and are considered high-risk contacts will be contacted by public health.
Impacted classes and cohorts have been dismissed from the school, but the school remains open to other students.
