THUNDER BAY – An outbreak of COVID-19 at the Hogarth Riverview Manor long-term care home has been declared over.

The outbreak was declared at the Lillie Street home, operated by St. Joseph’s Care Group, on April 7.

In a statement, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit said expanded precautions had been implemented during the outbreak, but did not disclose further details.

Ontario regulations definite a COVID outbreak in a nursing home as two or more lab-confirmed cases in residents, staff, or visitors with an epidemiological link within a 14-day period, where at least one case could reasonably have acquired the infection in the home.
